What a show!
Honestly, I can say I really loved this one. I was impressed with each actor's overall performance and their roles' impactfulness.
The plot and implementation in Eric didn't hit me as hard as the acting did - the dialogue was almost too pointed in some moments - everyone was so seriously straightforward, which did not feel entirely realistic. Not everyone is that genuine and justice is never easily served.
LOVED this show's setup, and the mystery introduction was well done. I think this show only fell through with the writing - it felt like there weren't any consequences for some bigger characters who had acted poorly the entire show. Especially Vincent. I guess he tortured himself enough with his drug and alcohol abuse, and with Eric beating him up and him beating Eric up, but I felt he didn't deserve to have a happy ending, and yet he kind of somehow did. He was an abusive asshole, and a poor parent, and deserved to suffer a bit more for it, in my opinion.
Ledroit's storyline deserves its OWN show honestly. His partner and his sister as well as Ledroit's history with Gator all need its a new AMAZING SPINOFF NOWWWWWW.
I have declared it as required. Hollywood: make it happen!
The finale of the show was nice, but again, no consequences felt like they happened to anyone except for Marlon Roschelle and his mother.
So all of the shitty politicians end up in jail - we know they won't receive punishment. I wanted to see more of that too. What was the aftermath? Did Vincent change?
Props to the prop department on this one - the puppeteering and puppets - especially the walk-around Eric puppet, which looks practical - that follows Vincent through New York - were all incredible.
Need more!
